Betfair Casino Added To The Rogue Pit Of Doom!

Betfair added to TheGamblingGurus Rogue Pit
UPDATE Dec. 8th, 2010 TheGamblingGurus are dismayed by having to add Betfair Sports, Casino and Poker to our ROGUE-Blacklisted Casinos List this week!

Betfair's attitude toward fair betting reached a new LOW Level recently when they ran a promo on Saturday, November 13th in which they offered their players an unlimited happy hour bonus with only a ten times (10x) playthru. When they later realized how much they were potentially losing, they decided to change the playthru requirement to twenty times (20x) and then they really started hitting the ole crack pipe when they began locking accounts and confiscating winnings of the players who had took up the bonus offers and won on them!

For krists sake, if that is not Rogue Behavior then TheGamblingGurus does not know what is!

The players had of course risked their own funds and many had met the required wagering requirements even after Betfair had retroactively changed them. Players were given the "Horses ASS" treatment and were further told that they had not played in the "Spirit of the Bonus" which is utter bullshit as well.

Just so you guys don't forget...Betfair were once known throughout the industry for their fair betting policy. This NO LONGER HOLDS TRUE! Betfair is a publicly traded company. Betfair Group Limited, a licensed betting operator registered in the United Kingdom. With key offices in Malta and Australia, the company has grown since its launch in 2000 into a global business which currently employs over 1,500 people.

By Betfair trying to enforce anything along the lines of a "spirit of the bonus" clause is clearly rogue behavior and very surprising for a publicly traded company to even attempt to pull off. Costa Rican clip shot casino joints do not even try stunts like this any longer.

Betfair Casino was one of our high standard Playtech Casinos here at TheGamblingGurus for the past year or so, but after this fiasco there was no other choice than to remove them from our safe list. Complaints over at Casinomeister's Forum also began piling up and were forwarded to Betfair's casino representative there who only responded to the first few that were sent over to him. He of course issued a blanket type, canned response referring to players exploiting the 'spirit of the bonus'. He recommended that players contact the LGA if they had any problem with this.

Malta's LGA is one hell of a bad joke as many of you have already read about and witnessed here. Of all the online gaming regulators, the LGA is the most non-responsive licensing agency that has ever been in that role.

Another more serious issue is that one of Betfair's players that took up the bonus offer reported that Betfair paid his winnings of 32K into his bank account only to remove them two days later. For a publicly traded company to do something such as this, it sets a new precedence for the entire online gaming industry as a whole. Betfair is the world's preeminent betting exchange, with 90% of the global market. Betfair oversees five million bets each day which is 10 times greater than the volume of the London Stock Exchange trades. It's a dark time in the online casino business right now with shenanigans such as these going on.

Players need avoid this casino at all costs and to also be aware that Betfair can and will confiscate your winnings whenever they see fit to do so. Even though you are risking your own funds and you also meet their wagering requirement, they can and will exercise their right to seize your winnings if they don't like the way you play. It's TOTAL BULLSHIT BETFAIR
