Will Ivanka Rule The 'Trump Empire' ?

Ivanka Trump
In recent news it looks like the Trump name will still lord over the Atlantic City casino skyline just as it has since the Trump Plaza opened in 1984. Though his lawyers have appealed, it seems as if Carl Icahn has lost his bid for the troubled Atlantic City Casino properties which include the Trump Plaza, the Trump Marina (formerly the Trump Castle) and the Trump Taj Mahal.

Icahn's money looked better but the judge ruled that a group of bond holders, backed by Donald Trump should have their assets protected (which Icahn was not offering) and that the Trump name should remain (which Icahn had no deal to preserve). The judge mentioned that it was the name that tilted the balance in her 121 page ruling.

But the Trump name isn't just the Donald any longer. Ivanka Trump, his socialite, exquisitely beautiful fashion model daughter, will be taking a greater role in promoting the properties as they try to capture a younger, hipper crowd. Sure the blue-haired slot mavens will still be welcome but expect to see chic and cool as the Executive Vice President of Development and Acquisitions for the Trump Organization puts her own spin on things.

The bond holders of Trump Entertainment plan to make her a major part of their marketing campaign and have agreed to give the Donald up to a 10% stake as they emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Expect some 'product placement' as the casino properties are slipped into shows, or even become the focal point for upcoming episodes of NBC's "The Celebrity Apprentice".

Icahn is not out of the picture totally, however. He is still the principal creditor and owns a $486 million mortgage and would love to add the Trump properties to his current holdings which include the Tropicana in Atlantic City along with eight other casino properties in the US.

We see Ivanka as a force to be reckoned with; she is profoundly much more than just another pretty face and her business acumen is very well honed. After graduating from Choate Rosemary Hall, she spent two years at Georgetown University before transferring to the prestigious Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude in 2004 with a B.S. in Economics. This lady's a player folks!

Trump Card (An Abridged Production)[Compact Disc Set]; Playing to Win in Work and LifeThe Trump CardShe is also an accomplished author having penned "The Trump Card". It is a book written for young women detailing how to succeed in any occupation.

Ivanka writes: "We've all been dealt a winning hand, and it is up to each of us to play it right and smart"

As mentioned before she is Executive Vice President of Development and Acquisitions for the Trump Organization.

Quite a series of accomplishments so far for a 28 year old lady, even if her father is Donald Trump! We look forward to see what Ivanka has in store for the jazzed up versions of the AC Casino properties.
