Casinos On The Las Vegas Strip

The Las Vegas Strip Casinos are the more popular ones for tourists from all over the world. But these aren't the only ones in Las Vegas, the ones listed below are only the first eight that we will be listing here in our series. The others will be added soon! You can read the full reviews for each casino listed below by clicking on the pic or the highlighted link.

Planet Hollywood
Planet Hollywood Casino Hotel – This casino and hotel is glamorous, and makes everyone feel like a celebrity. Some of the theme is old Hollywood and there is plenty of celebrity memorabilia! There are video and plasma screens throughout the casino for added entertainment and all the games a player could want!

Palazzo Resort
The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino – The Palazzo is located next to the popular Venetian and is even connected. The Palazzo is designed to look like the Italian Countryside, and has a very elegant casino and many other amenities in the resort area for guests to enjoy. If you're into nightclubs then you'll want to to check out the 'LAVO Nightclub' while there!

Venetian Resort
Venetian Resort Hotel Casino – This casino is one of the better known because of its unique theme. It is meant to replicate Venice, and even has its own Grand Canal surrounded by shops where visitors can take relaxing and romantic gondola rides. TAO Nightclub and TAO Beach are both hot spots at the Venetian for Vegas travelers.

The Bellagio
The Bellagio Casino Hotel – The Bellagio is one of the most popular casinos on the strip and it has a Mediterranean theme. It's known for hosting many popular poker tournaments and other hot events! The world famous 'Fountains of Bellagio' are a very mesmerizing and complex feature show of water, music and light choreography that thrills visitors daily.

The Luxor
The Luxor Hotel Casino – This casino is very recognizable, because it's the only 30 story all-glass pyramid on the Las Vegas Strip. It's on the South end, closer to the airport. The Luxor hosts magician Chris Angel and the Strip's most seductive variety show, FANTASY. Comedian, Carrot Top also performs at the LUXOR.

Excalibur Hotel Casino
Excalibur Hotel Casino – This is another casino that's easy to spot since it's a huge white castle themed from the legendary Camelot and mythical named sword of King Arthur! The ladies will want to check out Australia's Hottest Hunks in the show, 'Thunder from Down Under'. Others may want to spend their winnings to have a wedding at Excalibur's chapel!

Mandalay Bay
Mandalay Bay Hotel Casino – The ambiance delivered by this casino leaves guests feeling like they have landed in a tropical island paradise! Whether you are staying or just visiting Mandalay Bay be sure to check out the Shark Reef Aquarium. It's one of the many unique features of this resort and is North America's only predator-based aquarium exhibit.

MGM Grand
MGM Grand Resort – Those that want a different Hollywood experience than what's offered at Planet Hollywood can check out the MGM Grand Casino where the experience is much like what you'd see at the major film studio. Besides the casino itself, there's plenty of excitement and entertainment! Guests that want to be pampered in luxury while staying in Vegas will most definitely want to book a SkyLoft Suite!

Mirage Las Vegas
The Mirage Casino Resort - When the Mirage opened in November 1989 it was the most expensive built Casino/Hotel in history, with a US$630 million dollar construction cost! The property was built by developer Steve Wynn and designed by Joel Bergman. Just to name a few of the 'Signature Attractions' at the Mirage; Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, The Volcano and The Aquarium come to mind.

One of TheGamblingGurus favorite cribs in Vegas, the Skylofts truly redefine luxury and private sanctuary. Situated in the top two floors of the MGM Grand, the Skylofts offer guests a very modern two-story loft design and your very own personal 24-hour Butler! Check out the SkyLofts in the video below!

Since the above casinos are most popular with tourists, the slot games with denominations ranging from $1 to $100 are highly frequented. Poker tournaments also bring many players in from out of town.

Casinos In Downtown Las Vegas

The 'casinos off the strip' are not always frequented by Las Vegas tourists, but they do have a lot of local appeal and can offer a more authentic Las Vegas experience to visitors! These casinos are considered a little less flashy for those that just want to focus on the games and not the themes and other elements of atmosphere that the Las Vegas Strip Casinos offer.

The games in downtown Vegas are popular because of the lower table limits. For example, the 'Four Queens' offers single deck Blackjack that pays out at 3 to 2 odds for a blackjack. Those that want to stay at one of the downtown hotels will also find they're less expensive than on the strip.Check back for the full review write-ups!
