The rush of Las Vegas can go over the top when you catch a glimpse of your favorite star or other celebrity. Sightings are far from rare as they like to party too, and as we know from the news, some really like to party! From the days of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack to the Paris Hilton's and chic set's of today there has always been a good chance to see the stars.

It seems more and more celebrities are making Vegas their own personal playground these days so there is probably no better place to catch a glimpse or rub elbows with the rich and famous. Not only are Las Vegas Clubs some of the most hopping and happening places on the planet, Vegas is just a short hop away from Los Angeles, and LA equals Hollywood.

Of course there is even a place here called Planet Hollywood. This hotel and casino is owned by celebrities, and is used as a location in a lot of movies. Not only that there is a 1,500 square foot showroom upstairs where feature films often make their premiere to exclusive audiences of, you guessed it, celebrities.

But Planet Hollywood is not the only place that you stand a good chance of catching that famous sparkle. Some of the night clubs and restaurants offer a real good opportunity to give you a brush with the rich and famous. Topping the list would inarguably be LAVO, TAO, LAX, and PURE.


LAVO is an Italian restaurant and nightclub located right on the strip in the Palazzo Hotel and Casino Resort. The ambiance of this authentically Moroccan themed nightclub is helped by the fact that it is smaller club at 4500 square feet. This means that not only can you possibly enjoy a booth in the elevated VIP area with embossed leather walls, or sit at one of the forty tables to watch the dance floor action in between grinds, but it's small enough to get a real close look at your favorite celebrity.

Often overlooked, LAVO is definitely one place you will want to be if you expect to see your favorite star. LAVO was created by the people that brought you TAO.

TAO is an entire experience unto itself. This 45,000 square foot venue is more than just a club. The TAO experience encompasses a restaurant, lounge and sushi bar as well. Here you will see some of the most attractive models that inhabit 'The Strip'. There are even girls soaking in tubs of flower petals to greet you as you enter. The first TAO opened in New York in 2000 and like its Vegas sister, has always been a preferred destination of supermodels and celebrities.


Please keep in mind that the Nightclub is closed on Wednesday nights so the lounge will be extra crowded. You will want a reservation and will also need to get there early, whatever night you come.

LAX is a PURE creation located in the fabulous Luxor Hotel and Casino next to Mandalay Bay at the "happening" end of the Strip. Christina Aguilera is one of the celebrity investors in this club and is known to give an occasional unannounced show on the spur of the moment. Criss Angel has a show at the Luxor so its not rare to see him here. Paris Hilton, Akon, Diddy, and Tommy Lee are pretty much regulars at LAX and so are most of the cast of Real World.

The décor is sexy for lack of a better word, swank, and just plain hot in all its dark red appeal, and the massive wrought iron stairway connecting the two levels cuts an awesome sight with well heeled ladies making their way up or down. This place is terribly popular and always crowded so definitely make reservations.

PURE is located in Caesars Palace and has always attracted the celebs. When looking for the best bet to run across celebrities its always good to look at who owns the club as these folks seem to gravitate toward each other. PURE is partly owned by Shaq, Steffi Graff and Andre Agassi, and Celine Dion. That's a pretty good primer to get the action boiling and PURE delivers.

The dance floor area is laid out in a such a way that its easy to see and be seen around the perimeter and the seating is generous rather than crowded. But your best bet is in the Red Room. This section is cordoned off from the rest of the floor and has more private seating. You will want to breeze by these sections for the maximum possibility of seeing someone famous. Of course they don't just hide away and you can rub elbows on the floor as well if you get lucky.

There are no guarantees that you will see your favorite celebrity anywhere in Vegas, just like there is no guarantee you will even be able to get into one of these high profile clubs but the odds are a lot better than any place else on the planet. And like the man said, you can't win if you don't play. So take our recommendations and roll with it - if nothing else you had the time of your life in one of the most exciting cities in the world!
